Artist Bio for Hay On Wye.png

Patsy Homersham

Patsy Homersham is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Cotswolds, where she has lived and worked for the past sixteen years. She works from a studio set in a beautiful Victorian walled garden, and that sense of place feeds directly into her practice.

Her background is broad and varied. She studied Fine Art at Stroud and Bristol School of Art, graduating with a BA (Hons), and later completed an MA in Fine Art at Cheltenham. Earlier in her career she ran a theatre company in Dublin, and also gained a diploma with distinction in Interior

Design at the National College of Art and Design. Together, these experiences have shaped an artist who is curious, collaborative, and always open to experimentation.

Multidisciplinary Art

Patsy is a gregarious maker who loves working alongside others, sharing ideas, and seeing what happens when people feel encouraged to explore. Her work often starts with nature - with walking, observing, collecting, drawing, photographing, and noticing small shifts in rhythm, detail, and atmosphere. She experiments with materials and processes as a way of finding meaning, using photographs as visual references to extend narrative and develop her ongoing practice.

Patsy is a member of the Gloucestershire print makers co-operative. Stone lithography is central to her current work, particularly the physicality of it: the weight, movement, resistance, and flow of the process all matter. Working with a 150-year-old press, she is interested in how this historic medium can still feel alive, open, and full of possibility. She brings that same energy into teaching, offering insight and encouragement to beginners.
